FALL DECOR & THE GIVEAWAY!!!!!!

It is so beautiful here today.  The sun is shining, it is more like July than September.  This weather is going to last here until mid October, so they say.  The leaves are slowly turning and today I am packing up the summer decor from outdoors and starting to decorate for Fall.

I love Fall.  Decorating is so easy.  The falling leaves have done half of the work.  I like to see them blanket the ground it is the perfect start for decorating.

Pumpkins!  Oh how I love these plump beautiful fall creations.  They are so versatile and you can get them in every shape, size and colour.  Nothing is lovelier or more fall like than a porch full of pumpkins.  Add some corn stalks and mums and you are set for the season.  Fall is probably the most reasonably priced decorating season and the pumpkins will do double duty for Halloween.

I love them inside too.  The past couple of Falls and Halloweens I have become enamored with the Ghost Pumpkins.  Aren't they pretty.  I am going to get a bunch and put them on the Harvest Table this year.  I will have more decorating ideas to come and show my own results soon.

HUGS & A GIVEAWAY!!!!!

It has been a beautiful Autumn Day here in Jerseyville.  I have not posted for a few days because it has been very busy around the farm.  My baby Atticus had to go to the vet last Thursday to be neurtered and it was a very long day for all of us.

Because we adopted him, he had to go to the vet from the Animal Rescue.  We did not adopt him through RESCUE DOGS MATCH but with another Rescue that Brenda helps out.  We had to drive over an hour in rush hour traffic both ways.  Poor baby was so tired and had that ugly cone on his head.  He has to stay on a leash until Sunday so there is no running and playing with Daisy and Rufus even though Atticus feels fine.  It is like having a toddler all over again.

Now, since we are spending so much time together , my Atticus has become a mommie's boy, even more than usual.  There are lots of hugs and kisses so I would like to pass some onto my lovely blogging friends.

FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN!!!!!

 Yes, that's right, I am "Falling In Love" with Fall.   I love the summer but it was not so great this year weather wise.  The flowers were terrible, it was hot then wet then hot again so I am holding onto to hope that it is a lovely Fall.

I love the Farmers markets in the Fall ablaze with orange, red and yellow fruit, veggies and flowers.  And the Apples!  Apple pie, apple butter, and just apples.

Eating outside on a carpet of colour.  Corn, squash and pumpkins plump and waiting to be turned into scrumpcious soups.

I won't even mind raking the leaves this year.  Bundled up in a warm sweater, a fire blazing and a hot cup of cocoa in hand.

So as the last days of the sun are upon us, I welcome the Autumn Faeries who will settle in my garden to protect my wintering beds and bring luck and happiness to the farm.  I feel so blessed to live with Four Seasons, each one is a welcome guest.
