HAPPY WEDNESDAY EVERYONE!

I have a question for all of my fellow bloggers who have shops and ship items. I just got back from shipping one of my Buddha Kitties. She fit into a regular envelope ( she was securely wrapped of course) and she went from Ontario, Canada to South Carolina. She cost $5.85 to ship ( I had charged $3.75 so lost money) What I cannot figure out and the post office has not explanation for (everything is computerized for cost ) is why does it cost the same to ship a tiny package with no weight as it does to ship one of my boxes or one of my shelf sitters? Shipping is so depressing. I never know what the cost will be and I find it difficult for listing prices. I do not charge a lot for my art but the shipping is sometimes as much as one of my pieces ( from Lucys Garden which is pine). Does anyone else find this a problem, I would really like to hear from you. Other than that I hope you all have a lovely day and thanks for the nice comments about Buddha Kitty.

REMEMBERING OUR FURRY FAMILIES

I visited Brenda at her blog "Cozy Little House" this morning and she had posted a beautiful set of pictures of a memorial garden she had planted for her little dog. It made me think of all of the pets we have lost over the years and the amazing ones we have now. Our dogs Penny and Duffy are 13 and showing their age but still full of love and life. Our three cats Stella, Layla and Luca are a going concern and we love them all. Those of you who have visited my shop "Lucys Garden" know that it is named after my darling Lucy who I lost 4 years ago this summer. I miss you Lucy, everyday. Today I want to post some pictures of our loves and encourage all of you to do the same..I will visit my followers blogs over the next few days and anyone who comments about their pets. I have decided that today is "Share The Love Of Our Furry Family Day". Join me in this tribute of love.

RAIN, RAIN GO AWAY!

Another rainy day, one of those that is just grey and damp and you just can't get anything done. At least I finished my new project, BUDDHA KITTY! Here she is my little Buddha Kitty which is going onto to my etsy shop "Wicked Faerie Queen" after this post. I just love her she is round and full of wisdom. Have a look and tell me what you think.

RAINY MAY SATURDAY! NEW LINE FOR WICKED FAERIE QUEEN!

Good Saturday afternoon everyone. I hope you have better weather than we do today. Drizzling rain but the birds are singing and it does smell like spring outside. I've been working all week on a new line for my shop and I hope to be done and posted by the end of the day. Very cute and soulful little guys I am creating. I will show you later today. Hope everyone is having a productive spring. Getting ready to plant some veggie seeds I will probably do it today even with the rain. My garden is looking pretty good. It is always a gamble with our Canadian winters to see what comes through in the spring. Enjoy your Saturday.

HAPPY, HAPPY TUESDAY!

Here are a couple of pincushions from Wicked Faerie Queen, the Queen of Hearts and the Wizard of Oz.. Working on redoing my shops, business is very slow so I am thinking of making just a few items in different colours. What do you think? How is everyone elses businesses going? Love to hear from you.

What a wonderful day! Sun is shining and I had a great Mother's Day. House full of mothers and one little darling grandbaby. Good food and great company. Hope you all had a good one too. Some advice is needed. I make these boxes and I am having trouble with shipping. Twice they have been broken. They are delicate and I do have fragile put on them Wrapped in bubble wrap. Any suggestions on how you package and if you have any problems with breakage would be helpful..
