GOODBYE SWEET RILEY
There are some blogs that I look at everyday. One of those is from Claudia of MOCKINGBIRD HILL COTTAGE. Claudia, like me, has two sweet dogs that were around the same age as our Duffy and Penny, who we lost this year and the end of last year.
Scout and Riley are her babies. They are in so many of her posts that I, like many of her followers, felt we knew them.
Both have had some health issues, Riley more. Whenever I saw a picture of one of them on my sidebar I would hold my breath hoping they were okay. Today, Riley's picture popped up and when I visited Claudia she told us they had lost sweet Riley yesterday.
My heart breaks for her, Don and Scout.
Goodbye Riley, we will all miss you.

THE WORLD IS A RAINBOW!
We all wake up to the same sun.
We all sleep under the same moon.
We all smile and laugh.
We all have hopes and dreams.
We all want to love and be loved.
We are all children of this wonderful, colourful, magical place called earth. Remember that in our hearts we are still the same little children we are just bigger on the outside.

ENCHANTED!
As summer winds down and the breezes caress the trees gently urging them to drop their leaves my mind goes to magical places.
Grassy steps leading to a mystical cottage in the woods, what is around the corner?
A picnic in the August sun, butterflies weaving in and out of the fading flowers.
Perhaps cozy up under the vines atop a mountain of soft pillows and dream of the warm summers days and the coming cool Autumn evenings.....
....and I just dream.

BEAUTIFUL BLYTHE!
As you know I just adore PINTEREST. I have discovered so many different blogs and websites through it. One thing I discovered that has become a passion are Blythe Dolls.
First made in Japan in 1972, Blythe Dolls became a favourite in North America in 2000. Now they have almost a cult following among the people who covet and collect them.
Artist "customize" the dolls in many fabulous ways. They tend to go from the sweet, adoring looking dolls.....
.....to the hauntingly beautiful almost macabre dolls that I adore. The prices range from under a hundred dollars to in the thousands. Custom artist are fully booked and very hard to find.
Now I am not really a doll person but these Blythes have captured my heart. Their faces seems to tell a story, each one different. To me they are little pieces of art meant to be treasured.
After many hours of research I found a wonderful artist I would like to create a doll for me. Melacacia makes the mysterious, dark darlings I just love. Unfortunately she is always so busy she is not taking on commissions at this time. I can wait. One day I will have a beautiful Blythe made just for me.
I have always leaned toward the macabre and this doll is one of my favourites. There is just something sweetly sinister about this little doll about to put her dollies in the guillotine that makes me love her. Strange, ha ha ha, maybe I am just a little!

RECLAIMED CANDLESTICKS & THE GYPSY TEA IS HEATING UP!
I have been working all week getting some candlesticks ready for my Etsy Shop LUCYS GARDEN . I get so busy with the other shop WICKED FAERIE QUEEN that I neglect it sometimes. I have made these out of reclaimed 100 year old stair spindles. I really like the music ones, may keep those.
I am working so hard on the GYPSY TEA & TAROT PARTY. I want the evening to be filled with magic and wonder. I have ordered lots of Healing Crystals to give to the guests and I am making some lovely mystical baskets for the Raffles. I put out in the magical universe a request for some little donations and I already have had a great response from some wonderful ladies. Thank you. Every little bit will help the dogs so I am so happy that those who are too far away too come have generously contributed some of their lovely art. I will show you everything as it gets finished.
Have a wonderful day ladies,
Sue

A CALL TO ALL MY FELLOW WICCANS
As you know, on September 22nd. I am hosting a GYPSY TEA & TAROT PARTY at my art studio with all proceeds going to benefit the Dog Rescue that brought us our beautiful Rufus & Daisy, RESCUE DOGS MATCH.
I have been making and gathering little things for Giveaways and to make a couple of baskets to raffle off to raise some more funds for these lovely dogs ( and some cats too).
I have purchased some nice candles and paper items from some lovely fellow Wiccans on Etsy and when they found out what they were for they kindly offered to contribute a little something to help out.
So, I will put it out there in the magic universe that if any of you wonderful Wiccan artists have anything small you would like to contribute to make up a basket to help with this wonderful cause please e-mail me for my address. I will glady do the same if you are having an event.
Any little thing that could go into the pot would be so appreciated. And you don't have to be a Wiccan to help out. I am doing the baskets with a magic and Halloween themes so if you make some nice Halloween tags, cards or whatever and want to help that would be so incredible.
Blessings & Bliss

MY GYPSY TEA & TAROT PARTY!
Well my darling friends, I had mentioned before the lovely Dog Rescue that brought us our babies Rufus & Daisy.
The sweet Brenda who founded and runs this Rescue out of the goodness of her big heart is such a wonderful, caring human being that I have decided to have a fundraiser for her and RESCUE DOGS MATCH.
I am having a GYPSY TEA & TAROT PARTY. Here are the tickets I made, what do you think, will they attract an audience? I hope so. There will be readings, lots of great food, and door prizes of the Supernatural kind. Every penny will go to help the lovely dogs in their search for homes.
It will be a lot of fun and I wish all of you could be there although I know with distance that is impossible. Please stop over and visit the RESCUE DOGS MATCH website. Brenda is working so hard to attract some attention to her cause and visitors are always welcome.
