FRIDAY HALLOWEEN SPOOKTAKULAR!

It is Friday already and time for another HALLOWEEN SPOOKTAKULAR! Today I am presenting for your viewing pleasure Halloween Tableware. If you are like me and just adore Halloween you decorate inside and out. I love Halloween cups and plates and I have found some beauties for you to take a look at. The gorgeouse guy above would make a great centre piece. You can find him at Bethany Lowe.

COOLER EVENINGS, HOT FOOD AND PIE!

Fall is coming in on cat's paws. She is slowly creeping in a little more each day. Our mornings are cooler and you can smell the air changing. Lady fall is putting away her green gown and bringing out her brightly coloured best dress.

The landscape is bursting at the seams with colour. Plump orange pumpkins and golden bales of hay.

The heat of summer is leaving and it is time for ovens to come on to bake harvest pies and stoves to simmer pots of hearty stews.

I adore the fall for it's bounty, it's colour, and that we can still have dinners outside with our harvest from the hot summer months. Nothing is sweeter than sitting out on a cool evening at a table full of delicious food, and perhaps.....

...under a Harvest Moon.

FLYING BACKWARDS

As you may notice my blogs is different. I have never used a background that I had to download so I tried it. I am still working on organizing everything that got mixed up. Please be patient all will be normal soon I hope. I do like it but it takes a while to get used to.

A WET FALL DAY AND A HOT YUMMY BREAKFAST!

It is a little wet today, a good day to cook. Every year we have our closest friends for a Christmas party. I love to cook ( I used to have a small catering business) and I like to make different dinners from around the world. This year it is Spain and Tapas. Tapas, if you do not already know is little bites of food. I start to experiment around now to get the menu ready. Today I made a mushroom topping. It was delicious. What do you think?

I just sliced mushrooms thinly and fried them in olive oil. When they browned I added one yellow and one red tomato chopped. Then I added green and kalamata olive chopped. I brushed crusty white bread with olive oil and put it under the broiler until golden on both side. Just before serving I added a little more olive oil and salt and lots of pepper to the mixture. If you make this serve it right away or the bread gets soggy.

FRIDAY HALLOWEEN SPOOKTAKULAR!

This is the first FRIDAY HALLOWEEN SPOOKTAKULAR. I hope you get inspired by some of these ideas I know that I have. I cannot wait to decorate. I can't until after our Thanksgiving which is the beginning of October but the next day Halloween will be taking over my house.

You could do something like this on wood and attach it. I just think it looks great.

I did not know they even made Halloween bathroom accessories. I have a soap dispenser shaped like a black cat but I never thought of going this far.

I love this! It is all from Pottery Barn Kids.

This is an amazing Halloween Advent Calendar. What a cool thing to make for your kids (actually I think I might make one for me.)

I just love vintage Halloween decorations. I have quite a nice collection of reproduced ones which I will show you later. Paper Halloween decorations can be so beautiful. The top picture is from Martha Stewart's Halloween Collection. I love the Kitty Candy Dish. The bottom picture is so lovely, it was on a blog and it is an original vintage piece.
