Well, as promised this FRIDAY HALLOWEEN SPOOKTAKULAR will be pictures of what I am doing in my own home. I am still working on it but some is finished and I will show the rest next week.
I have a love for Vintage Halloween images and decorations. I love the macabre but I also love the cute. This year after visiting so many Halloween sites for my Halloween posts I got very inspired. First I will show you what is new this year.
We just finished this today. Our WITCHES BROOM INN sign turned out so fabulous that we may leave it up all year. I want to get a few more ravens for the top.
The COME IN & SIT A SPELL stairs turned out great. They got Duffy's approval.
The front porch isn't quite done but so far I put up the wreath I made in an earlier post. I love this little vintage sign that I bought a couple of years ago.
I put pumpkin lights in the garland. I will try to get a night shot of them on for next week. It is still warm here so I don't want to carve the pumpkins too early, for now I just plug in these guys ( I have several). they look great at night.
This was a last minute inspiration. I wanted to hang something on this wall but not another wreath so I covered a wired flower basket hanger with fabric, painted it orange and painted a vintage scaredy cat on top.
When I decorate for Halloween I put things away to make room for the decorations but sometimes, like with these great number tins, they just work with the decorations. These are some of my great vintage-like pieces. The broom in the corner I just got, it travels around the room on its own and cackles, my cats love it.
I really like paper mache Halloween heads. The little girl cutout I bought on ebay. I found some great Halloween coloured gumballs too.
This tin pumpkin with the bat is my favourite. You pull it down and it says HAPPY HALLOWEEN..PEEK A BOO!
I really like tin signs, love my spooky kitty, my husband bought this festive raven.
This cute hanger has vintage images on cardboard. I hang it on the screen door that seperates my kitchen and livingroom ( Luca was clawing the furniture so we had to put up a screen door). This would be so easy to make just by printing out some vintage images, pasting them on board and putting them on some nice ribbon.
This macabre kitty is one I treasure. I always keep my witches hat handy, you never know when I might need it.
Even Teddy is ready for Halloween.
I hope you have enjoyed the tour. Next week I will post everything completely finished, I hope my night shots turn out so you can see my motion projector in action. It looks great, I have floating jack-o-lanterns and ghost on my house. I will also be doing some Halloween cookies and cupcakes because I am having a family Halloween get together next weekend. Please post some of your Halloween decorating I would love to see what everyone is doing.
WOW, you have some neat decorations. Love them all AND the new sign outside. That is too cool. Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing more.
