It's going to be a scorcher here today, not that I'm complaining. After all the rain it will be nice to have things dry up. I do wish we could find a happy medium with our weather, wet or hot there is no nice warm, breezy days yet. I love the early mornings here though, sitting on the back porch overlooking our property with all of the animals and birds starting their day, it is breathtaking. Sometimes we don't hear anything else for a while, no cars, no voices and it seems like we are in the middle of paradise all by ourselves. I hope you all have an incredibly beautiful day wherever you are.

WORKED ALL WEEKEND FINALLY DONE!
Busy weekend! I want to thank all of you who visited my blog on "Welcome Wagon Friday" and welcome to my new followers. Thanks to Brenda at "Cozy Little House" blog for featuring me on Friday. Well, I have been busy all weekend working on a new line of Reclaimed Shabby Chic Candlesticks. We try to get reclaimed architectual pieces whenever we can and reuse them ( some even make to my etsy shop) I do tend to fall in love with the old things when I find them. These fabulous stair spindles are from a farmhouse that was over 150 years old and met with the wrecking ball. We saved them and have had them for quite some time thinking we might incorporate them in our home. There are not many so I thought they would make great candlesticks. They will be on Lucys Garden today. I am working in the studio now, even with the rain, but yesterday was lovely and I got to open the french doors. The flamingos are a left over from the Alice In Wonderland party last summer and they look so happy there I did not have the heart to put them away.

EXCITING NEWS TODAY!
I checked my e-mail today and had a lovely note from Brenda at "COZY LITTLE HOUSE" BLOG. She is featuring me on her Friday blog. What a nice welcome into the blogging neighbourhood. I love her blog and visit it everyday because it is always so warm and cheery, like a breath of spring air! I am showing you some pictures of my studio today, I designed and finished it and my sweet husband built it for me. It is great to have a space to work in, for years my art spilled all over the house. All of the furniture is reclaimed and redone by us including the chairs and sofa. Most of the contents were destined for the bin including the gorgeous doors which I rescued from the Habitant for Humanity garbage bin. I feel like I should spruce the house up for blog visitors tomorrow. Thanks for the welcome Brenda!

A COLD & WET WEDNESDAY!
It has been a very cool day here, we have to embrace every warm day in Canada because we do not seem to get many. On the beautiful, sunny days you have to get as much done outside as possible because with the weather and the gardens you never know what is around the corner. I was hoping the back garden would get a chance to dry out but now it is going to rain for most of the week. I have not worked on much with my shop lately but will add some more soon, here are some faerie boxes I had done before, I may put them back on. I love visiting all of your blogs, if you drop by I would like to see something from you on my linky. You may have noticed I changed my blog background. I like to play around with patterns and colours to keep it fresh. It is fun, like decorating your house. Hope you all have a great day!

TUESDAY ALREADY!
That's one thing about a long weekend the week goes faster, I cannot believe it is already Tuesday. A little cool this morning but still lovely. Had tea at the top of the garden in the tent. I have a nice view all around from there and it is so quiet I can watch the birds and animals doing their thing all around me. The garden up here is still wet but I cleaned it up yesterday and moved some plants. By mid-June it will be perfect as long as we don't get a wet summer.
My husband built me this herb table, I call it a thyme table because I fill with assorted thyme. It is so wet I cannot sit there just yet, but it is so nice to smell the thyme first thing in the mornings when the weather is warmer.

WONDERFUL HOLIDAY WEEKEND!
What a great weekend for being outside and gardening. My garden is bursting out all over. I hope you all had a fabulous weekend doing whatever.. I was talking to my husband last night about all of the beautiful blogs I have visited and great people I have communicated with and I realized that blogging is the new pen pal system only faster and more visual. I have had a fantastic time since I started my blog 6 weeks ago, I wish I had done it sooner. I want to share a few pictures of my garden at the back of my farm. These are from last summer when we had our sons wedding Alice In Wonderland party so it is decorated. The garden is still a little wet but it will look like this again soon. Don't forget to put a pic on my linky ( to the left under " you are next"). I would love to see something from you.

GOOD SUNDAY MORNING!
Lovely day again. Working in the garden, planting the veggies today. Looked in the garden this morning and the irises bloomed. They look so lovely against the green hostas and ferns. Very happy with my garden. I can't believe it but just now as I am typing this it started to rain. Put a couple of items in my shop today too. Have a great day everyone!

SUNNY, SUNNY SATURDAY!
Oh what a beautiful day. This morning I sat in my screened room listening to the birds sing, drinking tea and catching up on my British Edition of Country Living ( fab magazine!) The country noises didn't start until later ( lawn mowing, my neighbour listening to some sport on the radio really loud) but the morning was lovely. I am showing you the pretty view I have.
We visited our son, daughter-in-law and gorgeous grandbaby yesterday. She is so cute and really animated now, laughing, babbling and best of all recognizing us! I took some cool shots on the way home from the car. I love to experiment with the camera. Hope you all are have a fantastic weekend. Don't forget to add to my Linky (on the left) put some pics of your gardens if you like.

A GOOD DAY IN THE GARDEN!
I worked in my front garden all day today it was so nice to get outside. It is going to rain again next week so I am trying to get as much done as possible. I look at my neighbours across the borders gardens on their blogs and I cannot believe how wonderful and full their gardens look. Our weather has been horrible this spring so the gardens are behind, I hope they last longer into the fall. Sat in my screened-in room today too. It is like a cottage and overlooks our property. It is so nice to see the green again!
THURSDAY AND FINALLY THE RAIN STOPS!
Good Thursday everyone, finally a little relief from the wet weather. I might even get some pots planted today. Just wanted to let you all know that I have added a Linky to my blog (left hand side) I would like you all to put on a picture of something you have created for yourselves in your home. Whether it is a room you have done or something you made that you love I would like to see it. I have visited your blogs and adore you work but I would like to see what you create for you so "Show me your stuff!"
Here is my blackboard kitchen cupboards. I did the top in blackboard paint a few years ago which I use as blackboards and liked the look. I did the bottom in regular paint. It makes the room look bigger.
