I adore the moon. What a glorious site to behold.
Unlike the sun, which is also beautiful, the moon is ever changing and awe inspiring.
Songs are written honouring it's powers.
Poets and writers put pen to paper with descriptive pros bringing it to life.
It is erotic and romantic.
At times lonely.
It can be magical and eerie but that is what attracts me to this wonderful glowing orb.
The moon makes me smile, dream and know that there is a sun rising in the morning letting the moon go back to sleep only to come back to me when twilight creeps in.
And there is one thing that the moon does that no one can deny.

GORGEOUS FALL & FAB RUSTIC CUPBOARD!!!!
It is an absolutely gorgeous day here in Jerseyville. Perfect weather, warm, sunny and the leaves are turning, what a wonderful Fall.
Been so busy since Labour Day but I am going to try to post more now. We had this adorable little Foster Pup, Domino, for a week. My husband fell in love but I had to be the bad guy, 3 big dogs are enough. Domino is in a great home with a loving family who keeps us updated so all is well.
My Heirloom Tomatoes, Black Krims, took their time ripening but finally a bumper crop. They were so delicious. I made Green Chutney out of some of them, yummy, the rest just got eaten and eaten and eaten. I like to use seasonal vegetables while they are here.
I saw this fabulous tin board with this lovely Sheep at Winnners earlier in the summer. It was marked down to only $8.00! I did not know what I was going to do with it but I loved it. Well, inspiration comes from the smallest of things. I have been needing a place to store all of my cookware, it keeps falling out of cupboards and was all over the house. We had this beautiful old maple drop leave farm table I rescued from the burn pile at my Grandmother's farm. It had lovely straight legs and a cute little drawer. I also had been saving some nice big wheels for many years. I asked my husband if he could build the table in and make a rolling cupboard for my pots and pans ( I have a lot). I really did not know what kind of finish I wanted until the tin sheep came into my life. Well, tada! I pulled the green and the rustic look of the tin piece and here it is.
I used the same green stain from the bedroom floor and the same white wall paint. I painted the whole thing including the top and then sanded it right down. Some stain and wax and I just love it. Everythings fits including my huge mixer and food processors. I even have a small space in the middle to store baking sheets.
Now we are going to use the Sheep on the door front of the microwave cupboard and we are removing all of the doors of the kitchen cupboard and replacing them with huge drawers made the same as this rolling cupboard. The kitchen will be the same shades and finish as this cupboard, I can't wait. I will keep you posted.

HAPPY LABOUR DAY.......BRING ON AUTUMN, I AM READY!!!!
Happy Labour Day everyone I hope you are having a lovely long weekend. Today we are doing absolutely nothing! First day all summer that there is no building, cooking, cleaning or leaving the house.....I love it! Mind you tomorrow is back to normal.
It has been a lovely summer but last week was incredibly hot here in Ontario. The leaves are drying up already, all of the tomatoes are ripening...quickly, there is a nip in the air in the mornings... yes, Fall is coming but I am ready.
Store the nuts squirrels, bring out the bright leaves and let the Fall Fairs begin.
It has been a wonderful summer but I love our Four Seasons and it is now snuggle time, bonfires, hot cocoa, warm sweaters.....Autumn Bliss!
