DECORATING ON A WARM DAY.

It is a lovely day here in Southern Ontario. The perfect day to do some Christmas decorating outside. Yesterday the Halloween decorations went away for another year and out came the Christmas lights. Living on a farm you don't know what to expect when you pull out things that have been stored for a year. I have a storage room in my husbands workshop just for seasonal ornaments. We ended up having to empty the room and vaccum everything because some little creatures had moved in last winter. After that job was done I got the lights on the fence and today I will finish the outside. I don't put the lights on until the last week of November but it is much nicer to decorate on a warm day instead of freezing.

I picked up my Christmas stamps from the post office and all the cards are ready to go out the last week of November. I have always written my Christmas cards out for the following year on boxing day. It is relaxing and I have all of this years cards right in front of me. It makes it much easier when all you have to do is pop them in the post the next year. I have already bought next years cards. I love Christmas cards! Next I will do the invitations for my Christmas party on Dec. 2nd. This years I am throwing a Tapas Party. I try to do something different every year. I will post about that later.

Have a lovely day everyone!

  1. I have a feeling this is going to be a good Christmas Season. I might not be able to get a lot for my girls but we will make the holidays fun!!! I wish i could decorate but the town might think I'm mad. We still have Thanksgiving to get through. Lucky you, yours is over.

Hope your day is just as lovely!

  2. Oh I love your snowflakes so gracefully falling. I live in the country as well and also know about critters getting into storage spaces. It can be a real mess sometimes. I can't wait to hear more about your party!
