My husband finished building the foundation for our new gazeba on Monday.  Unfortunately, it poured rain here all day yesterday so we cannot finish until later in the week.  He decided to raise the platform off of the ground just around 18".  When he finished we put some chairs on there and sat and had a cup of tea.

Sitting there, raised just that little bit, gave me a whole new perspective of the view.  It made me think that I would one day like a treehouse.  Not a kids size one but a treehouse big enough to sleep in for the summer.

How lovely that would be!  Raised up in the trees (we have a lot of them!) looking out over the farm our heads in  the clouds ( well, sort of).

I love being up in the trees.  There is something so whimsical about a treehouse.  So special, like living amongst the faeries.  I have an old brass bed that would be perfect and lots of old windows too.

Now I know why cats love being up there all the time.

Why should birds have a the fun?  Now I just have to break the news to my husband, I think I will wait until the gazebo is finished.

Sorry I have not posted in a few days.  It is a mere 2 weeks until the SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES FUNDRAISER for the dogs at RESCUE DOGS MATCH.

Everything is moving along smoothly, hoping the weather cooperates on the day.  We have 7 wonderful women who have volunteered to do Tarot, Angel and Palm readings.  I am looking forward to meeting the 5 lovely ladies I have only spoke to through e-mails ( the other 2 have helped us before).  My home will be humming with the energy of all of the strong, fabulous women who will be here to help with the cause for the dogs.

I will be making the baskets tomorrow filled with the wonderful donations that have come in.  I will show you the results this week.  Gardens are blooming, the studio is finally clean and my fab hubby is working on the gazebo today.
I am so happy to do this for RESCUE DOGS MATCH.  I believe in the power of magic and with the blessings of the goddesses this will be a success and help at least three of the dogs and bring awareness to  people.  The response I have gotten through donations and volunteers shows me that so many people do care when they are made aware.

We will all have a lot of fun on June 8th. and a wonderful time but we are all here for one!

It was kind of ironic yesterday, I wrote my post about the pups at RESCUE DOGS MATCH who need foster homes and forever homes and when I went to check my e-mail I had a lovely surprise.

Last month I entered a blog contest at the blog THE PET BLOG LADY to win a great puppy package prize, I thought what a great idea for the pups at the Rescue if I won.

It was sponsored by the lovely people at PURINA and MY PUPPY the great website with lots of information about starting your puppies life out right.  You should go over and sign up, it is a great site.

Well, surprise, surprise I won!  I will receive this fabulous Puppy Package worth $150.00 from the great folks at PURINA who sponsored the contest on the amazing THE PET BLOG LADY, Lisa Taron's blog.

As you can see it is just full of great things for puppies.  A big basin, a bed, bowl, brush, picture frame, blanket, and so much more.  I cannot wait to get it, this will be so nice for the pups at RESCUE DOGS MATCH.

I want to thank Lisa so much for this wonderful gift and the folks at My Puppy and Purina.  You must visit Lisa's blog THE PET BLOG LADY.  This is a wonderful, informative site about pets, rescues, just about everything you need to know about your loved ones.  I am so glad I found Lisa, she really cares.  And don't forget if you have a puppy register them at MY PUPPY, I registered sweet Atticus, he might be big but he is still a puppy.

And please stop by and read my RESCUE DOGS MATCH POST from yesterday and pass it on.

Good Morning everyone.  I hope you all had a lovely weekend and that  my fellow Canadians had a nice long weekend.

Today I am calling out to anyone who lives in Southern or Northern Ontario.  RESCUE DOGS MATCH really needs your help.  Although Brenda has a great adoption success rate there are always new dogs coming in.  Here are some of the new pups and the ones who have not been lucky enough to get homes yet.

This is Pee Wee a loving big St.Bernard.  Pee Wee came from the pound on his last day and has been at the kennel for over 6 weeks now.  He adores woman but is a little leary of men although after a few weeks he now likes the man at the kennel.

Here is lovely Lincoln.  He is 6 and a sweetheart.  He loves kids and just wants to be hugged.

Guido was brought up from the States from an S.P.C.A. that was going to put him down.  Brenda got him on the day of our yard sale.  A woman who volunteered at the Cambridge Rescue pleaded for his life.  Because he had food issues he never made it to the S.P.C.A. here and went to the pound.  He was going to be sent back to the U.S. the following day to be euthinized.  Brenda saved his life.

Darling Hunter!  This adorable Beagle has been in foster care and then was adopted.  Because he had a couple of bathroom accidents they sent him back and he is now in the kennel.

This is Newton, Arianna and Bradley.  They are at the pound and Brenda has to get them some foster homes before it is too late.  They are all sweet, affectionate dogs that have been abondoned by their families.

This is Buddy a Border Collie cross and a doll.  He needs a forever home real soon.

Last we have Zara.  This beautiful Akita has been in foster care for over 2 months and not one person has wanted to see her.  Her foster mom loves her but lives in a condo so there is not a yard for Zara although she goes to the Dog Park every day.  Zara came to the farm when Brenda picked her up from the pound on the day she was going to lose her life.  She was so happy to run free after being caged for 6 weeks.  This is a beautiful, well behave dog and if I could I would have kept her.  I would keep them all actually.

So, if you live in Ontario and could Foster or knows of anyone who could Foster or even better if you are looking for a loving dog to bring into your family please get in touch with Brenda at RESCUE DOGS MATCH or let me know and I will pass it on.

Especially for poor Roo.

Also, we are having the SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES FUNDRAISER on June 8th. because the Rescue is absolutely out of money, I mean not a penny is there.  If you want to help with a small donation there is a PAYPAL button on the website.  Have a look at the gorgeous new website that one of the new volunteers has designed it is fabulous.

So please everyone in blogging land pass this post on I believe in the power of networking, help save these dogs with me.

Don't forget  that these pendant I made especially for RESCUE DOGS MATCH can be purchased throught my ETSY SHOP WICKED FAERIE QUEEN and 75% of the proceeds go to the Rescue.

I love pillows!  I am always making or buying interesting looking pillows.  I tend to be attracted to the more whimsical ones.  Now, I have a lot of pillows so I like to just buy the pillow covers.  I found a fabulous website this morning that sells the most amazing selection of pillow covers for the most reasonable prices and cheap shipping too.

These are the two I just ordered.  I love the Woodstock Pillow for my studio and I have always wanted a British phone booth so this is the closest I will get.

Light In The Box is a lovely website that not only carries pillow covers but lots of home decorating items.  I do not have time to look at that today but I will be back.

I saw these adorable cat and dog pillows and just loved them.  My blogging friend Claire will adore the cat ones I am sure.

They sell single pillow covers, sets of 2,4 and 6 and the prices range from &11.99 to $74.99 for a set of 6.  They are having a great sale right now too.  They also carry traditional pillow covers but I have never found so many whimsical covers on one site.

The total cost of my order including shipping and insurance was under $35.00.

If you love pillows as much as I do but only need covers you should stop by Light In The Box and have a look at everything.
