MARDI GRAS & NEW ORLEANS FILMS.

With it being Mardi Gras and the Academy Awards this week, I thought it would be nice to have a look at some of the lovely mansions and old homes of New Orleans. I really enjoy watching films that have been made there, seeing the wonderful old streets and homes.

Ann Rice's Interview With A Vampire takes place in the gorgeous, historic area of New Orleans. Very Gothic.

Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil although not one of my favourite films is full of New Orleans atmosphere.

The last one that comes to mind is The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button which takes you through the French Quarter and some lovely interiors.

I also want to thank so many of you for stopping by my new Blog LUCYS GARDEN this week. I have been having fun posting about some gardening and putting on some recipes. There is a great Jambalaya on today.

  3. Beautiful buildings. I watched Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil recently after another blogger showed some pics of the houses, and wasn't disappointed. I haven't seen Interview with a Vampire, so I will check that one out now.
