BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE!!!!!

It is the worst weather here in Southern Ontario, if not Canada, that we have had in a long time.  It is just freezing, windy and downright horrid.

It seems to be everywhere, even Florida is getting freezing temperatures.

I hope if you are stuck with this weather you are keeping warm and safe.

Please don't forget our wildlife in this awful weather.  Leave some seed and peanuts out for the birds and squirrels.  If you are in an area with deer maybe throw out a bale or two of hay.

And don't forget our furry babies.  They can only stand to be out in this weather as long as you can only they have bare feet.  If you have a shed or barn be kind and leave it open a bit for any stray animal to take shelter, they won't stay long but it is so cold it could mean the difference between life and death.

So be safe, be kind, be careful out there!

  2. Thank you for this post...we didn't even see our squirrels yesterday, I think they stayed in their nests all day. On Sunday we watched them making repairs and knew the weather was turning nasty.

    Be warm, be safe.

  5. Your post is awesome...beautiful photos of snow. Here in Michigan we are under a deep freeze..Temps with a wind chill of -24 (F) A lot of places have closed for the second day...Only outside with the dogs for a very few minutes. They don't want to be out any more than we do. Had beautiful deer in the front yard this morning. Hope you are staying warm.

  6. Hi Sue, yes it's horrible here too. 32 below with the windchill. It is so important to remember the little critters in this weather. It's so very cold and they cannot find food anywhere. We have left out lots of extra seed and suet and in the mornings I cut up apples into little pieces and put it out for animals too... but it all freezes so fast so I have to repeat the process so they can actually eat it. I wish we had a shed or some hay. I would like to leave it out for them to munch on but also to bunker down in out of the winds. Stay warm and safe. Bright blessings, Bird
