IT'S JUST A MATTER OF TIME.

I adore clocks!  There, I said it.  Some of my friends think I am a little clock crazy.

I hang clocks in my farmhouse like one would hang a painting.  I like them big, I like them small.

I have some like these that hang on a bracket from a beam.

I have huge clocks hanging all on their own on a wall in my studio and I have some grouped together.

I just adore them.  The funkier the better.  Old ones, new ones I always have my eyes open for a new addition.

I just inherited my grandmother's French Mobier clock and how I love it.  It strikes twice on the hour and looks very much like this one but the scene on the top is a farming scene just perfect for my house. I also have her Wag on the Wall and I already had one of my own.

I love whimsical clock and I even love this clock cake.
I just purchased this clock for my cooking kitchen.  I just love it.  It is new but it has that worn look I love.  Including wall clocks, a grandfather clock, the Mobier, two Wag on the Walls and assorted table clocks this is my 20th. clock. What does this mean.  I am obsessed with time?  I am chasing time?  Do I cherish every minute of the day?  Or do I just love the look of a beautiful clock.

Whatever the reason there are a lot of clocks out there and I still have lots of room.

What will my friends say!

WISHING!

I know you should not wish your life away, live every day to the fullest, but when our temperatures
reach the minus degrees I do wish I was looking out my windows on a sunny summer day.

Looking at the flowers and walking on fresh green grass.

Having dinner outside.  I can smell the fresh air and hear the birds sing............I wish!

I'M A FOOL FOR TULLE!

This is my favourite picture of Marilyn Monroe.

If you have visitied my blog before you may have seen my Marilyn hallway. My upstairs hall is painted soft cream with lovely sheer curtains and pictures of Marilyn on the walls. Not the typical photos, the glamour shots, but the real ones taken by a friend of hers. This one is a set of three. I like it because it shows her playful, girlish side. It is because of the tulle tutu she has on. They went to a dance studio and she loved the tutu but it did not fit so she sat down and just held it to her. There is just something about tulle that every girl loves.

Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era. How wonderful it must have been to dress up in these beautiful dresses. Full tulle skirts nipped at the waist, long and luscious just floating as you walked.

Or having layers of tulle peeking out from under your dress or from behind like this delightful creation.

I love tulle because it has never gone out of vogue. Brides still love to be draped in it to walk down the aisle.

It is also an acceptable outfit for the workplace and absolutely gorgeous for an evening out.

How fabulous would it be to dress up in a gothic tulle dress with a corset.

Tulle was most recognized with ballet tutus but now it is seen in many forms.

Who wouldn't want to slip the tulle tied shoes on with a little black dress.

And who cares what's in the present when it is given with a lovely tulle bow.

You may remember the tulle wreaths I made for Halloween. I love this Easter one and how gorgeous is this white one for a wedding. I could see this hung on the front of the head table.

I just adore tulle wrapped around a bouquet, so pretty.

These pompoms would look amazing at an outdoor wedding hung from the trees.

I will have to make these tulle flowers from READY FOR WEDDING SEASON I think they would make a great bouquet for bridesmaids or flower girls.

These wands are my new favourite things. I am going to make some for my Etsy Shop. There are easy instuctions to make pompoms here at ONCE WED.

And let us not forget to dress the wedding table. Tutu table skirts, wonderful.

What an enchanting evening it would be to have tulle hung from the ceiling or outside in the trees with twinkling faerie lights peeking through.

My little granddaughter's birthday is in February so we cannot have her birthday outside but I plan on having a Faerie Tea for her when she is a little older. How whimsical it will be on the farm with her and her little friends dressed in tutu's and floating around the yard eating faerie cakes and sipping pink lemonade. I love this tutu with the butterfly wings from BABY TUTU COUTURE ON ETSY.

Tulle! I just love it. It makes me feel feminine and magical and just darn happy!

AN AVERAGE DAY IN MY KITCHEN & A PLEA!

This is what it looks like in my kitchen every day. My beautiful cherry wood floors are wall to wall in dogs. I have to wash every other day now but that's okay.

These guys make it all worth it! As you know, Rufus, Daisy and Atticus came into our lives this year. After losing our beloved babies, Duffy and Penny to old age our home was so empty we adopted Rufus in April from RESCUE DOGS MATCH. Daisy followed in June and although we did not plan on 3, Atticus, whom we were fostering, grabbed our hearts and is staying. They bring us such joy. It isn't always easy when they have been out running in the mud all day around the farm but I would not change a thing (perhaps some rain boots for all of them).

I have been volunteering with RESCUE DOGS MATCH to help Brenda raise funds for the dogs since last summer. The Gypsy Tea Party was a great success and I am hosting a Something Wicked This Way Comes party the second weekend in June. We are having a big yard sale too in May.

Last night I went with Brenda to take a dog who looked just like Rufus to his forever home. Harry was a 3 year old who had been bought to guard a garage and the owner did not want him anymore because his kids had lost interest. He had never been inside of a house. The family who adopted Harry has a beautiful 12 year old girl. When we went into the house Harry was very happy. As you can imagine he just wanted to run around and sniff everything. The little girl put him on a leash and sat with him on the kitchen floor. After a few minutes Harry's body rested against hers and you could tell he felt safe. They just adore him.

When a dog is adopted from RESCUE DOGS MATCH they are spayed or neutered, micro chipped and have had all their shots. The adoption fee is just that cost. Brenda pays for everything else through donation money and her own funds.

Yesterday was the last dog she could afford to have vetted. She has just run out of funds. Brenda takes the last chance dogs from the pound.  I cannot tell you how many lives she has saved.

We went to pick up dog food from another Rescue who had an  excess of food and  this morning Brenda went to the Pet Food Bank to pick up some more.

A small mining town in Northern Ontario closed the mine and the town is destitute. That means the animals usually starve first. People have been dropping their pets off on farms and  one person has been trying the best he can to feed them even though he has little money. Brenda is driving 4 hours to bring them some food and she will probably keep doing this for I don't know how long as well as work her three jobs and try to keep her Rescue going too.

Right now she is waiting for a dog to be sent up from Tennessee who was used for a bait dog in fighting. The poor thing has lost her tail and ears and the vet is doing all of the medical there so Brenda can just find a loving home for this sweet girl. Brenda is very good a placing dogs. She really cares who adopts and her only concern is if the dog is happy and comfortable. She amazes me.

Here is what I am asking my blogging family to do . Please post on your blogs the address I am giving you. All I am asking is for people to send $1.00. That is it. Put a dollar in an envelope and mailed it to the Rescue. What I am praying for is that the blogging community is large enough that this gets out there and we can raise enough money to help these beautiful animals.

 Thank you all
 Sue
