THE SWEET SIMPLE LIFE!

I had to go into the "City" this week.  Now, we live near Ancaster and Brantford but they are smaller "Cities" and don't bother me so much.  Hamilton is another story.

The conjestion, smells and soooo many cars just drives me crazy.  Too many stop lights, too many "mini malls".

It took me so long to get to my destination, almost as long as it takes to drive on the highway to ours sons near Toronto.  I could not wait to get home to my little piece of Valhalla.

As I drove down our sweet, quiet country road, I did not see one other car.  Just the cows, sheep, horses and fields of green.  I thank my goddesses everday for the life I have here.  The bliss of fresh air and quiet.

Give the the country life any day.

  1. Are those all your own pictures?? I didn't realize all the pics here were your own home! oh my god, no wonder you can't stand the city. I can't stand it either, and wish I could live in country, a country without snow in winter, can't do that either. How utterly beautiful are all your pictures!!!

  2. Oh honey, I so agree! As you know, I have an hour commute to work each way and it is about an equal split in time of what is city and what is country. When I hit the first back road lined with all of those beautiful trees and farmland, I can just feel my entire body instantly begin to relax and my soul come to life. The difference is amazing. Happy weekend, my friend. Mina

  3. Oh ya girlfriend, I agree with you 100%....When we are at the lake it is so peaceful, but at home here, way to noisy...want to move to the country so bad.....Love all those pictures, great post, Blessings Francine.

  4. I know what you mean. When I was 18, I couldn't wait to move to London. Now I find I go in less and less, and I even avoid the local towns. When we move next year, I want somewhere even quieter.

  8. So agree and your images are breathtaking. I live in a small town that is poised to grow larger and it scares me a little. I have learned from my family and friends experience that it is not always good to live way out in the country when you are in your seventies. Still, I long sometimes for the real country. Enjoy every moment.....
