Hello everyone! Just a few quick things today.
First, I am having huge sale at my Etsy shop WICKED FAERIE QUEEN on all of my Wedding Things. If you know anyone who is getting married and would like a lovely one of a kind pillow send them over.
I have a nice selection of Ring Bearer Pillows, Ring Holders and lots more.
Second, SOMETHING SPECIAL BLOG is having a fabulous Giveaway. Look at all of her beautiful things. She is on my sidebar too. The Giveaway ends of June 1st. so stop over for a visit, become a follower and sign up.
And last just a little personal observation. I have been blogging for just over a year now and I really enjoy it. I have met a lot of interesting , lovely people, visited some amazing blogs, seen some talent like I could not believe and seen some really fabulous interiors. Now, I post almost daily but that is just because I love it so much. It is not because I am not busy and have nothing better to do. I just make the time to sit down with my tea or coffee in the morning, catch up on what is new with you, and do a post, even if it is a small one. I have noticed that many of my fellow bloggers who I follow have dropped off with their posting.
I realize that not everyone can post everyday but some of you lovely bloggers have not posted in months. I worry that you have been ill or have some problems. I miss you guys! Maybe you are all just really busy bees this time of year but if you are still out there take a minute and say hello. I am sure I am not the only one who misses many of you beautiful bloggers I hope you come back soon even if it is just for a quick "Hi, I am fine just really busy."

WOULD YOU?
I would love to spend my summer days lounging away on something like this everyday. Unfortunately I never seem to get the time. It amazes me how much I actually do everyday. Between washing the floors, doing the dishes, gardening, trying to finish the screened-in room, reupholster the chairs out there and spend some time with Rufus yesterday I got to thinking.
Would I like to have someone else do all of my gardening so I could just enjoy it?
Would I like someone to do the vaccuming and dishes?
Would I like to have someone else do my laundry and make my bathroom sparkle?
Even though I love to cook would I really want someone else in my kitchen preparing my meals?
And would I like to be chauffered around town to do my shopping..........you bet your sweet bootie I would! Well, maybe just sometimes.

RAIN...GREEN...DARN BIRDS!
It is another beautiful day here. We had a nice Spring rain last night which made everything grow and made the air smell wonderful.
The garden is looking greener but still a little slower coming than last Spring. I have most of the gardens topped off with black soil, I will finish today and get my Herb Garden weeded. We start the Vegetable Garden containers tomorrow.
This is my front porch. Can you believe all of this mess is from one little Robin. She tried for 2 weeks to build a nest on the window sill but of course that is impossible. She kept Luca entertained though. He spent most of the 2 weeks sitting on the cupboard watching her. I hope she has given up. I love birds and they can build their nests anywhere on my property but not actually on the house. Birds get very viscious about their nests.
I finally finished my garden sign. The side facing the road says "Peace Blooms".
The other side is for my babies. It says "Duffy & Pennys Garden". This was their garden, they spent a lot of time here, Duffy was always lying right in the garden beds and I had to shoo him away all the time. I still see them there and I know they are with me when I am working.
As for my new baby, this was Rufus last night. He spent the day chasing squirrels and talking to the neighbour dog Jessie. He loves the cows but those squirrels are his obsession. Well, it is so gorgeous I hate to work I would rather just sit in the garden and read but if I don't do it no one will.
Stop by LUCYS GARDEN. My post from yesterday has a delicious recipe I made for lunch.

FINALLY.........SUNSHINE!
Finally! I went out on the porch this morning and it was warm. The sun was shining through the trees and it was bliss.
Rufus is enjoying his morning. I have only seen him from the porch. He is so fascinated with the squirrels that he is running around with his head up in the air following them. I don't know what he would do if he got one, hopefully that is not his goal. He was so tired yesterday from running around all morning he slept most of the afternoon.
I am cleaning the screen-in room today, I don't know how it gets so dusty over the winter but it is an all day job. I am taking advantage of this sunny morning to have breakfast on the big porch and browse through my decorating magazines that have been piling up. I am having a healthy breakfast of greek yogourt, kiwi and bananas, although I felt like a coffee today, I usually drink tea. I found a list online of the best foods for you not only for your weight but for your health. I love all of these foods so I am incorporating them into my meals everyday. Here is the list.
Edamame-Green Soybeans
Sweet Potatoes
Kiwis
Apples
Salmon
Quino-a Nutty Grain, it is delicious, like rice.
Yogourt
Eggs
Olive Oil
Lentils
Well, I had better get going and not waste a single minute of this beautiful day. Maybe I will see Rufus in his travels. Have a lovely day everyone!

GARDEN UPDATE & RUFUS!
I thought I would give you a quick update about what has been going on around the farm. Here are a couple of pictures of Rufus I usually can only get him in motion because he has become obsessed with the squirrel population. We set up the tent gazebo last week which is near the top of our property and Rufus uses it as a rest stop in between trying to climb the trees. I think the squirrels laugh at him because they seem to run around the tops of the trees a little more when he is there. I am so glad this boy has come into our lives he really keeps things animated around here and we get lots of wet kisses.
The garden is looking pretty good. I feel like everything is behind but it is just May and our growing season is a little slower. The wild violets are everywhere. The oregano looks great and my grandmothers Bleeding Heart is getting huge.
The pots are still waiting to be filled, it is a little cool at night to do that. I have cleaned most of the gardens and put out the ornaments and the furniture. We are just topping off the beds with some nice black soil. We are building some vegetable gardens on the sunny side of the house soon. I have some great heirloom tomato seeds, radishes and carrots I can't wait to plant. I will be showing the progress of that on my gardening blog LUCYS GARDEN.
I did pot up some nice Pansies because they could take the frost if we had gotten any. They have not filled out yet because our weather has still been cool but they do add some nice Spring colour.
Well I am off to visit my sweet grandbaby and help with some gardening. Fingers crossed for blue, sunny skies for a while I hope you are all having nice weather. Stop over to LUCYS GARDEN for some nice outdoor dinner seating and a great Spring recipe.

BLESSED BELTANE, MERRY MAYDAY!
It is May 1st. a time to rejoice and welcome the warmer weather and the rebirth of our earth. It is time to celebrate Beltane, named for the Sun God Belinos. This is a celebration of longer, warmer days, blossoming flowers, the greening of the earth and new strength and love.
It is also Merry May Day. In old English villages as well as many other Europeon countries, it was a time to raise the Maypole and celebrate Spring. The Maypole is still used in celebrations today. People would decorate their homes with flowers and branches and women and girls would braid their hair and adorn them with blossoms ( resembling the Maypole.)
This is a time of new beginnings, new loves and a fresh start for our Mother Nature.
